Place the original text on the left and the modified text on the right. Choose Compare text. A minus marks a removed line, and a plus marks an added line; a changed line appears as both.
Changing version: 1.0 to version: 1.1 produces one removed line and one added line.
Each side supports up to 800 lines and 500,000 characters. Whitespace and trailing line breaks matter. Windows CRLF is normalized to LF; blank lines are labeled explicitly.
Why is moved text shown as removed and added? This comparison follows line order. It does not infer paragraph moves or semantic equivalence.
